PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic insulation component with a glaze layer capable of maintaining excellent surface electric strength in spite of producing comparatively inexpensively. SOLUTION: A ceramic insulator 10 with a glazing layer according to the present invention is obtained by forming the glazing layer 71 on the periphery plane 12 of a cylindrical main body 11 made of insulative ceramic wherein voltage is impressed in the axial direction F1 of the cylindrical main body 11. A plurality of particulate insulators 81 are arranged on a plurality positions on the peripheral plane 12. A plurality of the particulate insulators 81 are held and fixed on to the peripheral plane 12 through the glazing layer 71 in such a state that concavities and convexities 82 exist on the outer surface of the insulator.
