PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a device for displaying a moving advertisement and the like with use of a power of a moving handrail of an escalator or a moving sidewalk that is a simple device displaying an advertisement about a prescribed floor or a guide sign such as a destination, for users using the escalator or the moving sidewalk installed in a large-scale store or the like. SOLUTION: The display device 20 includes: a casing 21 installed near the escalator or the moving sidewalk; a display section 36 displaying the advertisement or the guide sign in the casing 21; an input shaft 29 protruding from the casing 21 and coming in contact with, pressed against, the moving handrail 17 so as to rotate in accordance with the rotation of the moving handrail 17; and an output shaft 24 connected to the input shaft 29 so as to drive the display section 36.
