PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system for a vehicle capable of imaging the inside of a vehicle and the periphery of the vehicle over a wide range. SOLUTION: The imaging system 10 for a vehicle includes a vehicle 200 and an in-vehicle imaging apparatus 100. The in-vehicle imaging apparatus 100 has an ultra wide-angle (fish-eye) lens 110 having an angle of view including a depression angle, and an imaging element in which a circular image is formed on a light receiving plane with a plurality of photodetectors arrayed thereon by the ultra wide-angle lens, thereby outputting picked-up image data corresponding to the circular image. The ultra wide-angle lens 110 is mounted to the predetermined front position of the upper part in the vehicle 200 in such a way that a range from the outside of a windshield 210 in the vehicle 200 to the back side of a driver's seat including the driver's seat can be included in the angle of view.
