PURPOSE: A chair having an elastic seat back is provided to elastically support the waist of a user by elastically rotating the seat back. CONSTITUTION: A chair having an elastic seat back comprises: a supporting board(1) of a plate shape in which the buttocks of a user is placed; legs(2) which are vertically prepared in order to support the supporting board on the surface; a seat back(3) of a plate shape which is vertically prepared and supports user's back; a support tube which connects the legs to supporting board; and a support bar(5) which fixes the seat back to the support tube. Between the support tube and support bar, an elastic unit generating torsional elasticity is equipped.
