<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote recycling of an alkali-free glass, to invent a method for manufacturing a glass sheet with excellent dislvability of a glass batch, to increase recycling rate of the alkali-free glass, and to reduce production cost of a glass sheet having a high strain point. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the glass sheet comprises: blending glass raw materials and preparing the glass batch; subsequently melting the glass batch in a glass-melting furnace; and shaping the melt into the glass sheet. Here, the alkali-free glass is used as a portion of the glass raw materials. The glass raw materials are blended so that the glass sheet acquires a glass composition comprising, in mass% calculated in terms of oxides, 40-75% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 1-18% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0.1-12% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 5-30% RO, 0-10% MgO, 0-20% CaO, 0-15% SrO, 0-15% BaO and 0-25% Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
