PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a sliding door device, which draws a sliding door near a door frame side when it is shifted to a closing position, in a simple and compact constitution without using a driving means etc. as a drive source. SOLUTION: When the sliding door is shifted to the closing position, both guiding rollers 30 and 35 of upper guides G1 and G2 face a step portion 20 of a guiding rail portion 15c of a sliding door rail L. In this case, the sliding door leans on the sliding door rail L while being turnable in the depth direction of an opening in such a manner that a horizontal shaft (m) journaled in parallel with the opening/closing direction of the opening S serves as a supporting point. On the lower side of the sliding door, a door end-side guide roller 50 of a lower guide G3 is engaged with a guide groove 11; and a door tail-side guide roller 55 is in a position to be disengaged from the guide groove. Thus, the sliding door can also be turned in the depth direction of the opening in such a manner that the vertical shaft (n) of a guide link 40 rising in the height direction of the opening serves as a supporting point. Consequently, the self-weight makes the sliding door drawn near the depth-direction door frame side by swinging thereto in such a manner that the horizontal and vertical shafts serve as the supporting points, respectively.
