SINGLE PHASE RECTIFYING CIRCUIT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a DC power having quality equal to that of the conventional one at low cost, without the use of a bidirectional switching circuit. SOLUTION: A serial connection circuit of switches Q1, Q2is connected in parallel with the serial connection circuit of capacitors C1, C2, and both ends thereof are connected to a load resistor RL. A serial connection point of the switches Q1, Q2is connected to one terminal of a single phase AC power supply AC via a reactor L1, and the connection point of the capacitors C1, C2is connected to the other terminal of the power supply AC; the single phase rectifying circuit is constituted, by connecting the serial connection circuit of the switches Q3, Q4, in parallel with the switches Q1, Q2of the serial connection circuit, and then connecting the connection point of the switches Q3, Q4to one terminal of the power supply AC via serial circuits of the reactor L1and the capacitor C3. The amplitude and the phase of the current of the reactors L1, L2are adjusted so that a sum of the instantaneous value of power supplied from the power supply AC to the connection point of the switches Q1, Q2and the instantaneous value of power supplied to the connection point of the switches Q3, Q4becomes constant, at all times.
