<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a treatment method and a treatment system which can reduce treatment cost for insolubilizing harmful substances such as heavy metals and halogens included in molding sand without adding a big change to the existing casting equipment. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the method for treating harmful substances in molding sand for insolubilizing harmful substances in molding sand used in a casting line for producing a mold, the casting line includes a reutilization step of reutilizing molding sand including: a mold removal step of performing mold removal after the pouring of the molten metal to the mold; a sand regeneration step of performing the regeneration treatment of the molding sand exhausted from the mold removal step; and a kneading step of kneading the molding sand regenerated in the sand regeneration step with unused casting sand, an additive or the like, and feeding it to a molding machine as the kneaded matter used for mold molding, and, in at least one step among the carrying step, the sand regeneration step and the kneading step among devices performing each step in the reutilization step, an insolubilizing agent for performing insolubilizing treatment is added to the molding sand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
