PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception device which allows a viewer to view a program of a broadcast channel received while viewing of the broadcast is interrupted, after the interruption ends. SOLUTION: A monitor unit 11 monitors a running state of a vehicle and reports the status to a switch control unit 12 when it is detected that the vehicle is running. The switch control unit 12 instructs a selector 8 to stop reproduction of the broadcast channel and start to record the image of the channel in a recording device 6 after the vehicle starts to run. When the monitor unit 11 detects the stop of the vehicle, the switch control unit 12 instructs the selector 8 to stop recording the image and perform high-speed reproduction of the recorded content of the broadcast channel.
