PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet light, excelling in sound absorbing property and moreover not slippery, fibrous backing used for the carpet, and a knitted fabric or a woven fabric with deviation preventing property. SOLUTION: The carpet is formed with the fibrous backing 406 on the back side of a fiber base material 205. A knitted fabric 409 with the cut loop warp that connects the front face and rear face of a warp-knitted weft-inserted knitted fabric having the front side and back side is integrated with the back side of the fibrous backing 406, and the cut ends 410 of the loop warp of the knitted fabric 409 project from the front face of the knitted fabric 409 as locking parts for locking a floor face for laying the carpet.
