The invention relates to a device for the photosynthetic production of biomass from algae. A transparent serpentine pipe is described that is exposed to light radiation and has an aqueous algae substrate (1) flowing through it, and that has connections (5) which supply doses of carbon dioxide. In order to provide advantageous conditions for biomass production, the pipe coil has fluidically interconnected vertical pipe sections (2) connected alternately at the top and bottom ends; the connections (5) for carbon dioxide supply are provided in the region of the lower fluid connections of the vertical pipe sections (2); and each upper fluid connection (4) forms an oxygen collection chamber which is connected to a discharge line (12). |
