PURPOSE: An operating method of a medical diagnostic device and the medical diagnostic device are provided to reduce time for measurement and diagnosis and the frequency of user manipulation errors. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(100) receives a measurement start command from a user. A storage unit(500) stores information about a set diagnostic system environment. A controller(300) performs measurement based on the set diagnostic system environment. An edition unit(400) edits or modifies the set diagnostic system environment. The diagnostic system environment includes information about at least one of a probe, a diagnostic application, an operation mode, and a parameter.
