摘要 <p>Disclosed herein is a an optical assembly 12 for use in coherent two- or more-dimensional optical spectroscopy. The optical assembly 12 comprises splitting means for splitting a base light pulse into a first, a second, a third and a fourth light pulse and delay means 24, 34 for varying the arrival times of the first to fourth light pulses at a sample location 44 with respect to each other. The splitting means comprise a cross-grating 20 configured to simultaneously split the base pulse into said first to fourth light pulses, a first reflector 22 arranged to receive the first to fourth light pulses emerging from the cross-grating 20 and to reflect the same in parallel to each other, a second reflector 42 arranged to receive the first to fourth light pulses after having passed the delay means and focus the same at the sample location, wherein the delay means are arranged downstream of the first reflector and upstream of the second reflector with regard to the direction of propagation of the first to fourth light pulses. Also shown is an apparatus comprising such optical assembly and a method for carrying out two- or more-dimensional optical spectroscopy using the assembly.</p>
