Method for determining the gender of bird eggs

The method involves emitting an electromagnetic radiation to a blastodisc (1) of an egg by radiation source (5). The decay behavior of the auto-fluorescence intensity excited by the electromagnetic radiation is detected at the irradiated region of blastodisc , after switching off the radiation source. A fractal dimension is calculated using the intensity values. The value of fractal dimension is compared with species-specific and sex-specific limit value. The egg is classified as female/male when the value of fractal dimension is larger/smaller than limit value.
