The device (2) has a washing carriage (4) movable along a guide rail (3). The carriage comprises a cleaning body (43) and a fluid-operated pressing unit (44) i.e. pressure stroke cylinder, where the body is shiftable between a resting position and a working position. The body is pressed at a cylinder (5) of a printing machine in the working position by the pressing unit. A quick change system withdraws the body from the carriage, and a carriage-lateral adapter device is shiftably supported at a housing of the carriage. The pressing unit is arranged between the adapter device and the housing.
