PURPOSE: A composition containing medicinal herb fermentation or extract thereof for preventing and treating obesity or hyperlipidemia is provided to ensure antiobesity and anti-hyperlipidemia. CONSTITUTION: A health food for preventing and treating obesity or hyperlipidemia contains medicinal herb fermentation containing Lycii Radicis Cortex, Atractylodis Rhizoma, and Mori Fructus or extract of the fermentation as an active ingredient. The health food is a beverage. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or mixture solvent thereof. The fermentation is obtained using Bifidobacterium longum or Bifidobacterium breve. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating obesity or hyperlipidemia contains the medicinal herb fermentation or extract of the fermentation as an active ingredient.
