PURPOSE: A multiple peaks detecting method of a signal and apparatus thereof are provided to detect a peak by calculating a boundary based on an average value and to increase the detection probability of a signal. CONSTITUTION: A group divider(110) divides a reception signal, which consists of a plurality of signal groups, into each signal group. A plurality of group part of group average calculating units(120) receives the signal groups from the group divider. A plurality of average calculating units calculates the average value of the received signal groups. A peak detecting unit(140) detects the peak of the signal group.
