Chain elements 1, load-carrying brackets 3, rollers 5 and rail 7 of an endless-chain conveyer are made of plastics material. The single chain element shown is clamped between the slide limbs 2 of a bracket 3 and includes a ball portion 14 corresponding to the socket portion 15. A ring 17 engages a groove in the outer surface of the socket portion and maintains the socket in engagement with the ball portion of an adjacent chain element. The rollers 5 are mounted on ball races 6 and the rail 7 is suspended by elements 9. A load carrier (not shown), is connected to the bottom of the bracket 3. The chain elements may be of . polyamide or polycarbonate, the load-carrying brackets of glass fibre reinforced artificial mouled resin, the rollers of polyamide, and the rail of glass fibre reinforced polyester resin. |
