PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing menstrual activation by measuring sex hormone in saliva is provided to quickly and objectively evaluate health condition of a patient. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring estradiol concentration to provide information for diagnosing menstrual period comprises: a step of treating strong base to collected saliva; a step of heating at 70-90°C and cooling in an ice bath; a step of neutralizing; and a step of removing mucus glycoproteins. The saliva is collected right after getting up, 30 minutes after getting up, and one hour after getting up. The strong base is NaOH, LiOH, KOH, or Ca(OH)_2.
