[Also in Division F4] A clip 5 for attaching an electric discharge tube holder 4 to a hollow support 1 having an aperture to receive the tube holder, is engageable against projections 2a on the support so as to bear against the tube holder, and has a protrusion 5b which is engageable with the tube holder in a manner such as to clamp it against the support. In the embodiment shown the tube holder 4 is supported within an aperture in a channel shaped beam 1, with end walls 2, by a supporting member 3 soldered or welded to the beam. The clip 5 is engaged against the projections 2a on the side walls of the beam and a protrusion 5b on the clip engages in a recess 4 a in the component 4 to clamp the latter against the end wall 2 and the supporting member 3. A further protrusion 5b on the clip 5 serves to secure a second tube holder, not shown, to the beam. Alternatively the clip is used to secure a single holder to a beam by the use of a protrusion 5c in which case the protrusions 5b are not used. |
