MOBILE TERMINAL HAVING FUNCTION FOR MEASURING AREA

PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal having an area measurement function is provided to simply calculate the area of a surrounding environment by using GPS(Global Positioning System). CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(130) generates GPS reception request signal according to the key input of a user. A GPS receiver(125) receives coordinate information from an artificial satellite corresponding to the GPS reception request signal. An area calculation unit(150) calculates the area of a polygonal shape corresponding to a plurality of received coordinate information. A controller(110) controls the key input unit in order to receive the input signal of a user.
