<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user the fact that a liketime of an illumination apparatus is terminated without being misconstrued such that the liketime of a lamp is terminated. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 9 is equivalent to a lifetime determining means determining whether the liketime of the illumination apparatus is terminated or not. for instance, it determines the elapse of the liketime by counting an elapsed time from a time point at which the illumination device has been connected to a commercial AC power source AC by use of a built-in timer. Further, the control unit 9 controls an LCD drive unit 8 to display the elapsed time to an LCD panel 7, and also when the elapsed time has reached a preset liketime, it controls the LCD drive unit 8 to display characters and symbols for notifying the fact to the LCD panel 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
