The positioning system (1) has positioning carriage (2) varied by shifting in a defined positioning level by a Cartesian x-y-coordinate system. A base plate of a central section (7) forms a transverse C-shaped single piece base profile body (5) to y-axis. A single piece side panel is protruded with the central section transversely to the positioning level to the same side at the two longitudinal edges. A work space (16) is limited to the two side panels with the central section. A crossbeam (27) is partly arranged in the work space.
