The device (10) has a heat sink (48) through-which two coolant streams of cooling circuits (12, 14) are flowed. Volume portions of the heat sink are variably adjustable. Two pumping devices (54, 56) are assigned to one of the coolant streams and convey the coolant streams through the heat sink. Delivery volume of the pump devices is adjusted for variably adjusting the volume portions. A heat exchanger (16) is connected to one of the cooling circuits. A conduit (20) is fluidically connected with the heat exchanger.
