PURPOSE: An optical network device of a fiber to the home system and method for managing a state of the optical network device are provided to determine abnormality of a lead-in optical signal at a site by LEDs, thereby drastically reducing maintenance time. CONSTITUTION: An optical transceiver(110) processes a physical media dependent sub layer of a passive optical subscriber network. The optical transceiver converts an optical signal received from an OLT(Optical Line Terminal). The optical transceiver outputs a toggle signal to a PON chip(130) or a red LED(140) according to the detection result of the received optical signal. |
