<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure excellent magnetic characteristic such as residual magnetic flux density and coercive force or the like, control grain growth in the sintering process, and expand the range of sintering temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The rare earth permanent magnet comprises R of 25 mass% to 35 mass% (R is one or two or more kinds of rare earth elements), Co of 0 to 2 mass%, B of 0.5 mass% to 4.5 mass%, one or two or more kinds of elements selected from Cu and Al of 0.02 mass% to 0.5 mass%, Ga of 0.05 mass% to 0.25 mass%, O of 0.03 mass% to 0.2 mass%, and Fe and inevitable impurity of the composition consisting of the remainder.
