HCL-polymorphs of 3-[2-(Dimethylamino)methyl-(cyclohex-1-yl)]phenol

Crystalline hydrochloric acid salts (A') of 3-((2-dimethylaminomethyl)-cyclohexyl)-phenol (I) with hydrochloric acid are new, where ratio hydrochloric acid : (I) is specifically 1:1. Independent claims are included for: (1) new hydrates of (A'), having a water of crystallization content of 1-10 (especially 7-8) wt. % based on the hydrate; (2) five new crystalline polymorphic forms of (A'), designated forms I, II, III, IV and V (form V being a hydrate) and characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns and Raman spectra; and (3) preparation of the new polymorphic forms of (A').
