PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing liquid crystals is provided to improve a contrast ratio and to avoid the reduction maximum transmissivity even if the driving voltage of the liquid crystals increases. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing liquid crystals comprises the steps of: (S130) if the reference values of splay modulus K11 of elasticity and flexural modulus K33 of elasticity of the liquid crystal are determined, increasing the values of K11 and K33 from each standard value so that the rate of the change amounts of K11 and K33 is a critical value or more on a basis of dielectric anisotropy of the predetermined liquid crystal; and (S140) controlling the composition of single component of the liquid crystal using the increased values of K11 and K33.
