PURPOSE: An adapter assembly and a method for compensating the length difference of optical fiber using the same are provided to compensate length differences by securing the transferring path of an optical signal. CONSTITUTION: A first adapter(10) is in connection with at least one optical communication unit. A second adapter(30) is in connection with at least one another optical communication unit. The second adapter is combined with the first adapter. An intermediate unit(21) is sandwiched between the first adapter and the second adapter. The intermediate unit secures the transferring path of an optical signal between the optical communication units.
