The device has transporting units (6) for transporting goods to be peeled in a transporting direction (T), and cutting units (7) for peeling the goods, where the transporting units and the cutting units are alternatively arranged next to each other in the transporting direction. The cutting units have two cutting blades extending along a transporting axis (A) at opposite sides, and the goods are guided along the transporting axis. The blades are attached to transporting rollers (15), respectively and rotatably supported around axes of rotation of the transporting rollers.
