PURPOSE: An error detecting method of a resistance type humidity sensor is provided to detect errors in a resistance type humidity sensor by comparing the voltage value inputted from a resistance type humidity sensor when applying a pulse to a resistance type humidity sensor with the voltage value when applying a toggled pulse. CONSTITUTION: An error detecting method of a resistance type humidity sensor comprises the steps of producing the average value of the first voltage value inputted during applying a pulse in a period(S20); producing the average value of the second voltage value inputted during applying a toggled pulse(S40); checking whether or not the average value of the first voltage value coincides with the average value of the second voltage value(S50); counting the frequency of a cycle which the average value of the first voltage value coincides with the average value of the second voltage value(S70); and if the frequency of a cycle which the average value of the first voltage value coincides with the average value of the second voltage value reaches to the error judging frequency, judging that there is an error in a resistance type humidity sensor(S80).
