<p>PURPOSE: A laser welding method for a steel sheet is provided to enhance welding quality through the autogenous welding between steel sheets without a separate wire supply. CONSTITUTION: A laser welding method for a steel sheet comprises next steps. For a lower one(1) of steel sheets to be welded by mutual overlapping, its melting part is welded to be overlapped. Low heat-input of laser beam is radiated at a fixed welding speed to have a given pitch of a zigzag shape of a welding pattern. The laser beam consists of Nd:YAG laser beam oscillated from an Nd:YAG laser oscillator. The output of the laser beam is within a range of 3.2Kw~ 3.9Kw. The pitch of the welding pattern is set to have a gap of 1mm or less.</p>
