MIXER AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A frequency mixer and driving method thereof are provided to eliminate a harmonic frequency from the frequency mixer, thereby increasing linearity from a DTV(Digital Television) frequency band. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(210) transfers the currents of an amplified input signal to a switching unit(220). The input unit can be made of a trans conductance amplifier. A filter unit(230) is composed of a low-pass filter. The filter unit filters an output signal of the switching unit to output a signal of a base band. The switching unit comprises a main switching block(221) and a sub switching block(222) which are connected in parallel. The main switching block down-converts the frequency of an input signal. The sub switching block outputs a signal with the polarity opposite to the polarity of the output signal of the main switching block.
