The engine (10) has an exhaust-gas recirculation device (12) comprising an exhaust-gas recycling valve (24) and an exhaust-gas recycling cooler (28) and for recirculating exhaust gases of a turbine in an exhaust gas section into a suction section (16) of the engine via the cooler and valve. The valve is arranged upstream of the cooler in flow direction (26) of the exhaust gases to be recirculated, where the engine is implemented in V and/or W design. The valve comprises a housing that comprises a cooling channel, where the valve and the cooler are integrated in a common housing.
