The pump (14) has a cylinder body (28) provided with a pressure chamber (29), where fluid is set under pressure in the pressure chamber. A pressure chamber inlet valve (26) is arranged at upstream of the pressure chamber. A damping element (34) is arranged at upstream of the pressure chamber inlet valve. The damping element is designed as a tubular or hose-like fluid line with a flexible wall section. The fluid line is designed as bellows, and the wall section is made up of metal and flexible plastic. The fluid line comprises a channel, and blinds are arranged in the channel. An independent claim is also included for a fuel-injection system for an internal-combustion engine, comprising a pre-feed pump.
