PURPOSE: An energy reduction type seawater desalinator, and a method thereof are provided to improve the water permeability of a film by supplying inflow water after heating to a reverse osmosis membrane module using energy absorbed to condensed water. CONSTITUTION: An energy reduction type seawater desalinator comprises the following: a reverse osmosis membrane module(33) for desalinating inflow water using a reverse osmosis process when passing through the inflow water; a water collecting pump(31) for supplying seawater; a high pressure pump(32) for pressurize-supplying the inflow water to the reverse osmosis membrane module; a condensed water heat exchanger(10) for collecting waste heat from condensed water discharged from the reverse osmosis membrane module; a first heat exchanger(11) for firstly increasing the temperature of the inflow water; a solar collector(21) increasing the water temperature by solar energy; and a second heat exchanger(12) secondly increasing the temperature of the inflow water.
