PURPOSE: A sub-channel acquisition of a digital television receiver through mobile/handheld signal reception is provided to supply data without the CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) error of an IP packet and to update SMT-MH data. CONSTITUTION: A M/H pre-processing unit(4) rearranges M/H-service data. The M/H pre-processing unit includes frame encoding, block process, group formatting, packet formatting, and M/H signal encoding. A post-processing unit(5) processes main-service data by general 8-VSB encoding. The post-processing unit rearranges the pre-processed M/H service data. The post-processing unit implements the backward compatibility of ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee) 8-VSB(Vestigial Side Band). |
