A sharpening tool includes a main base 10 having a periphery with a fixing seat 11, a first grinding unit 14 mounted on the fixing seat 11, a slide 50 slidably mounted on the fixing seat 11, a second grinding unit 53 mounted on the slide and a drive member 40 connected with the slide 50 to move it relative to the fixing seat 11. The first grinding unit 14 is used to grind a cutting tool with a single blade such as a knife, and the second grinding unit is used to grind a cutting tool with two blades, such as scissors. The fixing seat 11 may have a guide slot 13 and the drive member 40 may have a rotation knob 42 and a threaded end 41 extending through the guide slot and engaging a screw member or nut 52 of the slide 50. The second grinding unit 53 may be pivotally mounted on the slide 50 by means of a pivot shaft (56 fig. 3). An attachment device such as a sucker may be provided o the main base 10. |
