The present invention consists in an electronic system for monitoring corrosion at distance using the analysis of electrochemical noise, which from the instrumentation perspective is implemented at a low cost. The invention is designed to work with an arrangement of three electrodes, all of them being made of the material with which the metallic surface to be monitored is manufactured. The system comprises a module with a channel for the measurement of the noise current and a further module for the measurement of the noise voltage. Both signals are digitalised in the module for the data acquisition, digitalisation and transmission so as to be subsequently sent through a modem to a PC which may be located at a distance of up to 100m from the transmitter modem. The inventive system allows electrochemical noise current signals exceeding the ±80 pA of amplitude to be measured as well as electrochemical noise voltage signals exceeding the ±100 ÁV of amplitude.
