FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for noncontact measurement of thermal characteristics of a moving object involves optical reception of the thermal radiation signal of the object, spectral decomposition of the signal and formation of an image of the radiation spectrum on the surface of an array of receivers whose output signals are processed by a processor module.
