A power generation apparatus equipped with a multi-stage generator and a power generation method are provided to produce power higher than the rated output power as the main and auxiliary generators are driven by the torque sensor when wind speed or flux over the rated output power is supplied from the blade. A power generation method of a power generation apparatus equipped with a multi-stage generator comprises a step of rotating a blade at one end of a shaft, in which the generator with a torque sensor is inserted, by wind speed or flux(S10), a step of producing electricity as a main generator is driven by a torque sensor when the wind speed or flux from the blade is supplied at rated power speed of the main generator, a step of producing electricity as the main generator and an auxiliary generator are driven by the torque sensor when the wind speed or flux from the blade is supplied over the rated power speed(S30), and a step of collecting the electricity from the main and auxiliary generators in an inverter through a coil(S40). |
