FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The nematocide contains an active ingredient in form of an N-2-(pyridyl)ethylcarboxamide derivative of formula (I), where Ar is a substituted phenyl group, having one or more identical or different substitutes selected from a halogen atom, (C1-C6)alkyl group, halogen(C1-C6)alkyl group, (C1-C6)alkylthio group, halogen(C1-C6)alkylthio group, (C1-C6)alkoxy group and halogen(C1-C6)alkoxy group; a substituted pyridyl group, having one or more identical or different substitutes selected from a halogen atom, (C1-C6)alkyl group, halogen(C1-C6)alkyl group, (C1-C6)alkylthio group, halogen(C1-C6)alkylthio group, (C1-C6)alkoxy group and halogen(C1-C6)alkoxy group; a substituted pyrazinyl group, having one or more identical or different substitutes selected from a halogen atom, (C1-C6)alkyl group, halogen(C1-C6)alkyl group, (C1-C6)alkylthio group, halogen(C1-C6)alkylthio group, (C1-C6)alkoxy group and halogen(C1-C6)alkoxy group; or a substituted pyrazolyl group having one or more identical or different substitutes selected from a halogen atom, (C1-C6)alkyl group, halogen(C1-C6)alkyl group, (C1-C6)alkylthio group, halogen(C1-C6)alkylthio group, (C1-C6)alkoxy group and halogen(C1-C6)alkoxy group; X may be identical or different and denote a halogen atom, (C1-C6)alkyl group, halogen(C1-C6)alkyl group, (C1-C6)alkoxy group or halogen(C1-C6)alkoxy group and n is an integer ranging from 0 to 4, or salt thereof.
