OPTICAL PICKUP AND DRIVE ADOPTING THE PICKUP

PURPOSE: An optical pick-up and an optical drive applying the same are provided to remarkably reduce the occupying height of the optical pick-up by a first light source. CONSTITUTION: A light transmitting system comprises a first light source(21a) and a second light source(21b). The first light source inclines from a reference axis(X-X'). According to slope, a width or a pitch is changed between a first light receiving sensor and a second light receiving sensor. In the base of the first light source, the minimum height of an optical pick-up by the length of a diagonal direction(Y-Y') is changed. By the reduction of slope, the occupying height of the optical pick-up by the first light source is reduced.
