PURPOSE: A apparatus for reinforcing radius direction layer catalytic conversion unit is provided to improve the structural reinforcement of the out basket with system of spiral wire member. CONSTITUTION: As to the apparatus for reinforcing the radius direction layer catalyst conversion unit, the radius direction layer is besieged in the circular domain of between the cylindrical outer casing(1) and the basket cylindrical inner casing(2). The outer side surface of the basket is formed with the system of vertical wires which are separated by the water level distance of 0.1-5mm. The vertical wires are maintained by the assembly of horizontal metal rings which are separated by the vertical gap(Ea) of 5-200mm. The outer side surface of the basket is reinforced by the system of the spiral wire member. The system of the spiral wire member includes: a first spiral assembly which has the angle of inclination (α) of 10-80° to the horizontal direction; and a second spiral assembly which has the angle of inclination of - α of ±10° to the horizontal direction and is crossed with the first assembly.
