PURPOSE: A operation method of air cleaner is provided to reduce the electric power consumption and to prevent the overheat of the thermoelectric device by controlling the power supply quantity which is supplied to the thermoelectric device. CONSTITUTION: The operation method of air cleaner includes the steps of: sensing the present air humidity(a) ; determining the power supply quantity applied to the thermoelectric device according to difference between the present air humidity and the set humidity(b); sensing the temperature of the heating part of the thermoelectric device(c); revising the power supply quantity applied to the thermoelectric device according to the temperature of the heating part of the thermoelectric device(d). If the present air humidity is lower than the set humidity in the step(b), the thermoelectric device is switched off. If the difference of the present air humidity and the set humidity is higher than the set value, the 100% power is applied to the thermoelectric device. If the difference of the present air humidity and the set humidity is less than the set value, the power supply quantity is reduced and applied to the thermoelectric device.
