PURPOSE: A method for providing widget group and broadcast receiving device applying the same are provided to selectively supply only information necessary for a user. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting selected by a user is received/outputted(S310). Broadcasting information about the broadcasting selected by the user is obtained(S320). A home widget of a broadcasting company is executed. The execution result is displayed on a display(S330). Based on the obtained broadcasting information, one among the plurality of widget groups is displayed(S350).
