[Also in Division B1] Water and dirt from the surface of a swimming pool 32, Fig. 3, flows over a hinged wier 150, having floats in its upper edge, and passes by a pipe 159 to an inlet 169, Fig. 6 of a filter tank 161. Water from the bottom of the pool flows in at 167, Fig. 6. Diatonite is mixed in a slurry tank 160 with filtered water by a rotary impeller 168, and the mixture flows over the walls of the slurry tank to join the water in the filter tank 161 and form a coating on filter plates 162. The filtered water is pumped (164) through a conduit 140 to pipes 134, Figs. 6 and 3, each of which has a row of discharge holes 142, Fig. 3, and which together form a handrail for the pool. Part of the filtered water is bled off at 166, Fig. 6, to supply the slurry tank 160.</p> |
