The system has a hybrid-control unit (4) for controlling an engine control unit (3) based on acceleration and deceleration request signals for a drive motor (2). Controllers (13, 14) for digital displacement unit control a pump motor as the displacement unit. The controllers have a diagnosis interface for detecting operating values and/or operating conditions to detect system errors. The interface and a calculating section operate in two system directions for determining and implementing a correction value of the system errors, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a diagnosis management method for a hydrostatic displacement unit.
