Disclosed is a remote controller provided with a first transmission unit which sends to a display device a first synchronization signal indicating the timing for switching between the display of left-eye images created to be viewed by the left eye and right-eye images created to be viewed by the right eye. The display device alternately displays the left-eye images and the right-eye images, providing images perceived as three-dimensional. An eyeglass device contains a left-eye filter for varying the amount of light transmitted to the left eye and a right eye filter for varying the amount of light transmitted to the right eye. The remote controller is further provided with a second transmission unit which, synchronized to the aforementioned switching timing, sends to the eyeglass device a second synchronization signal indicating the timing at which the aforementioned left eye filter and the aforementioned right eye filter vary the aforementioned amounts of transmitted light.
