SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device (20) including a liquid crystal display part (31), and a backlight part (30) in which light is emitted from behind the display part (31), includes: a signal processing part (21) which divides an input signal into a plurality of blocks by the number of screen divisions of the backlight part; a high frequency component obtaining part (22) for obtaining a high frequency component; a signal component analysis part (23) for analyzing a signal component; a low frequency component obtaining part (24) for obtaining a low frequency component; a driving signal creating part (26) for creating a driving signal of the backlight part (30) based on signals obtained by the signal component analysis part (23) and the low frequency component obtaining part (24); an inverting part (27) for inverting the driving signal; a synthesizing part (29) for synthesizing a signal displayed on the liquid crystal display part (31), based on the input signal, the high frequency component obtained by the high frequency component obtaining part (22), and the inverted driving signal.
